Default Maintenance Items and Schedule

I recently purchase an 07 XK with 77k mikes. Is there any maintenance I should have done right away?

Also what should I plan on doing on a yearly basis?

My other vehicle is a Toyota Landcruiser and has only ever needed oil changes, brake pads, and tires. Thanks in advance!

When I get a 'new to me' Jaguar, I go through the entire list of service schedule items to cover anything that may have been missed and to give a base point for future servicing.

This is the 28 item summary list from the maintenance MSExcel Workbook I use to record servicing:

At the very least you should consider changing all fluids.

One look at the gunk in your steering gear will have you wanting to change the power steering fluid and reservoir.

Unless you have documented maintenance actions, change all the fluids as others have said to get a known maintenance baseline. I would also change the fuel filter. And the pan/filter on the transmission when doing the ATF change. Many of these recommendations are easy DIY.
Enjoy your car!

The maintenance manual has a really nifty way to fully flush your PS system.

Agree that its a good idea to replace the reservoir -- there is a non-replaceable filter in it. For certain models, the BMW reservoir is a direct replacement and can be found for a LOT less than jag's part. Note, though that you should keep the Jag cap, since it specifies the right fluid for the PS system (In earlier models, DexIII tranny fluid (red-ish, in later CHS11S hydraulic fluid (green-ish).

If you don't have a maintenance record that says it's been done, at 77K assume all fluids and relevant filters are original and need to be replaced as PM in the first few months of ownership. Coolant, PS, engine oil, tranny, differential. Really cheap way to keep everything running. And air filter, just because it's a hassle to do (versus other cars) and might have been missed over the years.

Also: check your LTFT, since the orings and many gaskets wear and degrade over time.
