MINA GALLERY JAGUAR XKR PERFORMANCE PKG1: PULLEY & EXHAUST SYSTEM

Hey everyone, I am interested in feedback regarding Mina Gallery. I am planning on adding an exhaust system to mx '07 XKR and am leaning there direction for a couple reasons. I love the sound. Great price, at $1,450 for pulley and exhaust its less expensive then most of the options out there. Claiming an additional 35 to 42 hp. They are somewhat local.

Has anyone dealt with Mina Gallery and what was your overall experience like?

Are you running the Mina Pulley or Exhaust or both and what are your likes/dislikes?

Has anyone installed the lowering springs from Mina and what is your overall impression?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a bunch, Andrew

xkr, Pulley, Exhaust, Mina,

Andrew,

I've moved your question from General Tech Help to X150 forum.

Currently dealing with Mina seems to be a train wreck best avoided. PITY...

+1 on be careful with Mina. Bought a diffuser for my xkr on the rear that doesn't fit and haven't got a refund for a year yet..

I bought an R-S spoiler about six weeks ago, and through some finagling and with tberg's help got it sorted out yesterday. It supposedly shipped this morning. Of course, since I haven't RECEIVED it yet, I cannot comment on quality.
It seems that Chris at Mina has had a bad run with his painters, which cause a lot of problems. Mine being one of those.
So, I'd think that unless you want your pulley or exhaust painted, you may be OK.

xkr, Pulley, Exhaust, Mina,
The only way I would trust them is if you can walk into their shop/store and give him the money and he gives you the parts. It appears that if you don't see the parts then he has to have them made. Doesn't sound like he has any inventory . Also if a dealer can't find a decent subcontractor (painter) that is cost effective and responsible then he doesn't belong in the business. So if you are near his place of business take all of these notes into him and show him how his reputation is looking. Good luck.

Chris has been having a lot of stock delivery problems lately. I've been waiting weeks for the black-pack XJ grille to restock. Mina Gallery is a fairly small operation and I guess they've been overwhelmed with demand lately.

Historically there hasn't been much if any of an aftermarket for Jags but that's changed in recent years with the brand's reinvention. More companies would be wise to step up and supply us with the goodies and toys we want.

I can only speak on my personal experience, but I've always had good dealings with Chris and if you call him and speak with him directly, he can hook you up with a nice forum discount. Right now I'm waiting to hear back from him about the XJ front bumper splitter.

I have bought from Chris and will do so again. I have been to his shop and he has inventory of often purchased items on hand. His entire shop is maybe about 5m SF including an outdoor storage area so he hasn't got a lot of space. When you speak with him on the phone or meet with him in person he is very accommodating and helpful. Be aware that his on line service tends to be spotty at best.

As to my Mina Gallery exhaust; I get lots of positive comments on the sound and the tail pipes and it does add to the perceived (at a minimum) bhp. In other words I would use Mina Gallery as a supplier, but build a relationship with Chris.

I bought my 2008 XKR last month with a Mina exhaust already installed, so can't speak to the service aspect. But the quality of the exhaust and the sound are first-rate! There's a nice subtle rumble at idle, and the sound at highway speeds reminds you there is a performance exhaust on board but it's not loud or irritating. When you get on the power it has a cool performance sound but doesn't set off car alarms in the parking garage, like my friend's Mustang with the Steeda exhaust. I've very happy with the product itself.
