Hi everyone well after my dead battery issue car is running and driving fine with the new battery. How ever since I saw some smoke coming out of the navigation-cd player I don't have my centre dash screen so no control over radio, heat-a/c, and any other controls from the touch screen I was going to replace the unit above the nav player.( I am not sure which unit I saw smoke coming out of) but I'm not sure what it is called,Thanks
What exactly is the problem? Do you get anything at all? Jag Logo? Nothing? Is the backlight on?
Have you tried pushing the ON button? (serious question, was a guy who didn't turn his on before)
Do the radio controls work? Heater controls?

Lol yes several times, at this point I need all the common sense ideas I can get! I installed a new battery, mine was five years old, so with that out of the way I started the car and at that time the screen lite up for a second but hasn't since. No controls at all for heat radio anything that's controlled on the screen just as if I turned the screen off.Any online help has referred me to the dealer. There is one post saying he took his car to the dealer and they told him the amp under p/s rear seat the connection was loose so i'm going to check that out this morning. One other thing that comes to mind is the erratic buzzing sound coming from under the dash in the speedo area I'm things its telling me the ignition is on with the door open but it sounds awful more like something dying?Thanks for the response.
