Safe to assume this 31489539 disk set from Volvo is appropriate for MY 2012?

That looks to be the same one that was mentioned earlier.

The Nav unit is the same for all X150 regardless of model year.

After selling my disk A, I got to wondering. Since the A disk seems to be the only one with programming update, is there any scenario you can think of were I would need to "reload" that update?
The last time I updated the Nav map, I only bought the Jaguar B disk, which had the software update, but have never seen it run the update again even when I disconnected the battery.

This is probably a dumb question for those of you who live in cities with Volvo dealerships. Is it expected that the dealer will have to order these discs or are they available there?

I'll have to make a trip to find one but it will take a couple hours, at best, to get there.

Why not just call them?

The only time you would need the software update again is if you replaced the Nav module with another one.

I went to pick one up at the local Volvo dealer today. They had to order the set which should be here in 2-3 days. When a Jag dealer orders parts/accessories they usually arrive the next morning.

If your local dealer is going to have to order it, why not just order it yourself. I looked on line and found several dealerships selling on line for a reduced price.

Got mine from

Ralphwg and Cee Jay,

Update, please, on the installation process. Any problems? Thanks.

Have installed the new Volvo discs. both work properly with no issues. Discovered that data input by me as to destinations remain in the GPS. Worst part of the installation was getting the luggage separator re-installed properly. Total time elapsed from start to finish about 20 minutes.

Well, I stuck mine it then restarted the car (battery reasons, of course) then went to NAV screen.... it was on Loading Maps for about five seconds, then everything was normal. I checked some new roads that weren't on my old maps and they were there. I didn't have any UPDATE show itself, but everything works as it should. Maybe my 2013 disks updated to the latest?
Anyway, it took about two minutes to complete, including ejecting and installing through the access slot. I didn't have a need to remove the separator, just let the retractable part retract.

Has somebody tried this with maps of Europe, especially northern Europe? Very interesting.
Edit: they talk of "MMM2"-device. Is that the same?

...aand there was a Jaguar 2017 update, too. Means, these are not original I guess. Hm, price is good...

At those prices you can be absolutely sure they are burnt pirated copies.
