Default new agm from sams club,

Just replaced OEM battery on 09 xk after car started having strange starting. Car would kind of half start and then not. Eventually got it to start and took ti straight to Sam's where they installed group 49 AGM duracell 850 CCA, 92 aH for $159 + tax. Starts strong, everything electric super fast. This is cheapest AGM installed price I have seen. Can't see any reason to pay more for interstate or other.

Were their vent holes or does an AGM even need vents? if two vents , one should always be plugged.

Great price, hard to beat.............a Duracell.

Yes it has two small vent holes, the one hole easily attaches to the vent hose from the prior OEM Jag battery, they did not plug the other hole on the opposite side, I guess I should plug it?

I always wonder what the standards are for battery replacement. It doesn't take much battery deterioration to cause electrical problems in these X150s. I'm sure at that point, the battery is still technically perfectly fine and wouldn't warrant replacement!

I just replaced my battery this morning. Car was DEAD when I went out. Got mine at Batteries Plus for $123.92 out the door plus a $10.00 mail in rebate so $113.92 for a Duracell. Two year total replacement from Batteries Plus on top of the Duracell warranty. Not bad.

That is not bad. I wonder how the quality of these Duracells is!

Now I'm not as worried if my Interstate battery goes bad since it will be inexpensive to replace!

100% perfect at six months. Replaced the dead battery on the 2010 coupe 3 months ago with the same Duracell AGM from Sams. They raised the price $5 to $164.95.

Default Re Battery life

I have an Interstate battery in my 01 XJR
Has been in the vehicle since 2005 operating well
Figure its been going at least 10 years , so if it has to be replaced I think I will stay with Interstate,.

Sams Club doesn't show available in the West!
Batteries Plus has them (Seattle area) for $190..................
Hope my Interstate (Made in CK) lasts; always on charger!

Cheers, Adrian

Six months and no issues whatsoever. Hopefully that remains the case...
