My ‘15 XKR is throwing a code P0101, which is the Mass Air Flow Sensor. So, I’ve ordered a new sensor.
I’m using my OBDLinkMX+ which I just started playing with, and in one of the status displays, it shows a 0.0 voltage for O2 sensor 1, and normal voltage for O2 sensor 2. Yet, there is no failure code thrown for O2 failure. As well the event log shows that Fuel Systems 1&2 are operating in closed loop mode, which needs operational O2 sensors. So, is the 0 voltage on sensor 1, an anomaly with my OBD2 tool? Whatta ya think?
The fuel trims are spot on and identical so, assuming those are being correctly displayed, the O2 sensor must be working properly and it's some kind of glitch with the OBD reader.
I'm almost certain that Bank 1 O2 sensor will be a wideband type and therefore you cannot measure voltage. They work by varying current. You may find a different PID in your OBD tool that shows Current or Lambda value to use instead.
If your STFT is OK (which it is) then your sensor is OK.

I believe you are correct. All the sensors in each bank will be identical so all the OP needs to do is check the voltage for all 4 sensors. He should see the 2 upstream sensors showing 0V and the 2 downstream sensors showing a voltage.
And by the way. I cleared the codes, and the P0101 has no come back. The MAFS i ordered is to be delivered tomorrow. I’ll probably replace it for assurance.
