Default Paddle Shifter Issue

Everyone,

First of all I want to thank everyone for sharing solutions for Electrical Problems experienced by some 2007 XK owners. Like several others, I too had problems with non-functioning seats, windows and the convertible top. Based on recommendations posted on this forum, I had a few items replaced and purchased a CTEK charger to use daily. I also lock the XK when not in use, including while parked in the garage at home. Problems eliminated ! !

It has been behaving perfectly ever since. I am thoroughly enjoying the XK !

I have only one issue to share and that is on two separate occasions recently, (while using the paddle shifters) the engine had a fit and went into "limp home mode". Most, if not all, warning lights flashed on the instrument panel and it went into "limp home mode". Of course it happened in mid-day traffic...

After pulling out of traffic, I turned off the engine, waited a few minutes and ... thankfully it fired up again as if nothing had happen !!

Has anyone else had this problem and if so what was the solution?

Thanks a million for your help and for a most interesting and helpful FORUM.

Over a dozen...but nothing specific to the paddle shifter issue.

Vacuum leaks can be intermittent and cause a LOT of codes.

I doubt the paddles are the cause so stop hoping for codes relating to paddles. Fix the actual fault(s) - the codes provide hints.
