Thoughts on the factory plastic insert colour black or silver

 

Kind of a tough one. I like the silver from the front and black from the back.

 

Haha my shoe is on the other foot like the black from front and the silver from back nice contrast

 

Silver front, black back. Would go with black because in will tie in better with dash, door panels etc. Although, it is difficult to get a complete look from the pictures. If they were aluminum it would match the door handles. If your trim is piano black, black maybe a better look.

 

What does the rest of the interior look like though? Any cohesion with anything else? Any clashing with stuff with either choice? I'd say silver, but that's dependent upon the remainder.

 

The main issue with the inserts is they are a cheap locking plastic finish .

Cee Jay my interior is all piano Black with polished aluminium around the gear shift selector from the portfolio

 

Black on the backs; silver on the fronts if the quality level matches the OE. Otherwise leave it alone.

 

 

How about carbon fibre warp or dip?

 

Never been a huge fan of carbon fibre in the cabin although it might look good used sparingly.

In regards to dip that's exactly what the paint applied is . It's a heavy mettalic silver with 2 coats of 2k clear to seal it.

I was thinking silver was the original color!
Had to find pictures of another car with those seats to see that black is the original color.

 

'm sorry I should have initially pointed that out in my original thread , although on the other hand I'm quite glad the silver has passes as OEM 👍👍
