Default Power Seat Problem

So I took the car out of storage and I was cleaning the interior today and when I tried to move the passenger seat, I notice the back part of the seat wouldn't lean forward (I believe similar problem with GrahamS). The rest of the power seat works even leaning back and the driver side power seats work.

I did a hard reset twice (disconnect battery terminals and have them touch for 30 sec) but still won't work. I presume the last resort is to have the dealer reset the seat?

A couple of my car buddies said to leave the battery disconnected overnight as that's what they were told on their cars for a complete reset but I doubt it would work but will give it a try.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Is there a separate motor for that function?

Default rear access

Hey Ghost,

You probably tried this already but maybe open and close it a couple of times manually from the rear access handle, as if you were letting someone in the back seat. It may not be fully engaging a specific locked position. Also I'd try rasing and lowering the base portion as it may be at a height that causes the controls to restrict tilt range.

Sorry I don't have more to offer.

Thanks guys. I did reconnect the battery and still won't work. I do notice the first time I try incline after a reset, I hear a "click" but after that nothing.

I had to take it to the dealer and they used their diagnostic computer to recalibrate the seat motor limits.

So the dealer tried to reprogram the seat to no avail. I brought it to the shop that does my mods and they had to replace the seat module which was $600+ in parts + labor + reprogram again from the dealer. The incline is now working. I still have the CEL that the shop is trying to fix. Name: Rant.gif

Default Ouch

Oh Man, I feel for you Ghostrider... has your warranty expired already? You may want to check on jaguar topix by entering your VIN. I'm lucky mine is good to 2013,

What is the CEL from? The cats? Have you tried an O2 spacer like another guy on the forum did?

Best of luck...

P.S. that viper looks sick, they've just released some NY auto show pics

Hey Mike! I'm pretty sure my car's warranty is over. I bought the car in January of 2008 and so it's over 4 years. Funny how things start to go after warranty is over.

The shop did put spacers and new O2 so far but now there is a MAF CEL (P0101). The shop is still working on it and I'm sure they'll figure it out.

BTW...don't get that Mina Air Induction Kit yet!!! The kit maybe the kulprit for the CEL..Will let you know once the shop figures out the problem.
