Hello, i was wondering if anyone has changed the hydraulic fluid or done anything else just as these cars reach 10 years of age. This is for a 2008 convertible with 50,000 miles. i have already done brake fluid, thermostat housing, water pump, battery, fuel filter. The convertible top is still working fine.

 

 

I agree. The next fluid on your list should be the transmission fluid. Didn't you replace the coolant when you did the Tstat and water pump? Why did you replace the water pump? They usually don't go bad on the 4.2L models.

 

hi, yes i did coolant with tstat and water pump. there was a bit of plastic stuck in the water pump fins, so when opening to check the water pump, i just replaced it.

 

also transmission fluid and pan were changed, as well as diff fluid.
