Unhappy Problem with top

I had to make a small repair to my top with the top partially open. When I went to put it fully down, nothing happened. I ended up putting it down manually using the allen wrench for the pump. I went through the reset procedure, but it didn't work. I decided to manually put the top up, but halfway there, it froze and now will not go back down nor will it reach the front latches. When I try to use the open/close button, I do hear a very soft sort of whirring sound. Any ideas on what to do? I can't drive it to a mechanic with it this way.

The top reset procedure is in the Owner's Handbook. There are several threads you can find by using the search function.

Thanks for your suggestion. The dealer I bought my Jaguar from tells me that the computer is out of sync with the program that operates the top and offered several ways to remedy the problem. I’ll post whichever one works.
