Talking Rear diffuser arrived

Rear diffuser arrived from Priinceperfomance UK today. I wanted something more aggressive than the stock valance….Its all a matter of taste, and I quite like it. Below are some pics of it 'installed'… it took 20mins to remove old and install the new. I will need to change out my tips and get it painted of course. It fits really well, had no problems at all with the fitment.

Doesn't look bad at all, of course, it will look better with paint and as always, who cares what anybody else thinks, it's your car.

Well you're certainly going to need bigger/twin tailpipes to suit now...

Interesting, so that appears to reach nearly all the way across the rear end, fitting above the tail pipes. The stock valence (XR and XKR versions) just fit between the pipes. I kind of like the way your new valence fills in the gap between the top of the pipes and the bumper, so the pipes don't appear to be hanging low.

You're right kj07xk. The top part of the diffuser carries across the top of the tailpipes then turns down a bit to blend in with the natural lineage of the stock bumper. Its currently just held in by 2 bolts and a couple of clips and it fits very snug against the stock bumper. I'm happy with the fit and finish and can't wait to get it painted and replace single tip with dual tips. Should finish off the look nicely.

Are you going to paint it body color or black? Although I painted mine to match the body, I've seen it both ways and have to admit that sometimes I wonder if I might have liked it better black. Can't wait to see pictures of your finished car.

Hi tberg… here is what I plan on doing. I have matte black on my roof, centre of hood, lower lip and rear spoiler. I quite like the look as it makes the car look (my opinion) more of a sports car as opposed to a GT cruiser. So, I will get the diffuser painted to match the body colour, then, after about week or two I will spray it black with Plasti Dip. If I like the look I will remove the Plasti Dip and have it wrapped to match the other black wrap on my car. My wife and son vote for black.

Thumbs up

Yeah, I think it will get wrapped after I get it painted. Your wheels look good on the car Big Otter.
