Default Spires stage 3...to do or not to do

As you guys already know, I've done the pulley/tune thing, got the X-pipe and put the 2-1/4 in pipes back on. I'm thinking, "whats next," which leads me to maybe getting the Spires stage 3 exhaust. My question is, will it buy me anything other than a more robust sound? For almost 2k, I'd like to see some HP gains as well.

AcCording to Matt at Spires a stage 3 combined with a tune and pulley should yield about 90bhp. Doing 200 cell cats should yield an additional 20-30bhp.

Hopefully you don't have any neighbors.

I would have to think that the HP on your 2010 XKR is enough just the wau it sits, and the power is enough on USA roads and highways around the Phoenix area. You are not tracking the car.

The sound of the OEM Jaguar exhaust sounds mighty fine, so why, put $2000 into the car that you will never be able to recover on a future sale or trade.

There will be the day that you will sell or trade the vehicle.

If you really want to spend money on your XK, IMO a built in radar/laser detector would be a much better investment.

Most car purchases should never be considered an investment - collectibles being the exception. It is either solely a means of transportation, in which case get it as nicely equipped as you want or it is a toy to play with and do what you want. It is like the story of the guy with the 24K gold plated toilet, doesn't make the house for worth anymore for resale but do you think that is why he did it?

Thanks guys...I just wanted to get some feedback from you gentleman before making a decision. As flyc2c pointed out, I DO have neighbors. Also, after writing this post a '65 Chevy Impala drove past my house while I was in the front. I dont know what he had in it, but it was awfully loud....that's definitely NOT what I'm going for...a little ferocity, yes, but Mustang, muscle car loud...no. Takes away from the "panache" and "class" of the car. IMHO. Must be fate because I have never seen one of those old, low rider thingamajigs in my neighborhood until after this post...LOL....the car aliens must be watching over me!
