Default Supercharger coolant hoses

I'm having a very slight oil leak repaired on the timing cover.

Seeing as they need to pull everything off the get at it, supercharger coolant hoses came to mind after a member mentioned doing and recommending replacement.

I can see plainly the top hoses, but I got the impression that there was some hosing under the supercharger (I may have misunderstood the members post).

I did a search and there was a post about "dreaded valley hoses" in the x100 forum - but I'm still not clear on this.

I looked through the X150 service manual but was not able to find much in this regard.

Any ideas on this folks?

Mac.

Curious why they'd want to pull the blower to access the timing cover? I don't think it needs pulled to do the work. I was able to do the water pump with the blower in place and it wasn't horrible, just way back in a hole.

There is one hose that runs back to the throttle body which is a PITA and the blower needs pulled to do it.

They don't want/need to pull the charger to do the job Ranchero, but seeing as they are pulling it down the charger is easy accessible - I'm gonna get them to replace the charger belt and the coolant thermostat while they are in there.

McJag, if you are willing to accept the additional labor, then have them pull the SC and replace the valley hose as a precaution.

The oil leak they are doing under a warranty (around $2000) so I will be getting charged for the valley hose replacement.

Problem is the service manager wasn't sure which hoses are needed to order them - I've looked in the service manual but didn't find the hoses in question - that's why I posted the thread/request.

Somewhere on this forum is a list of all the coolant hoses with part numbers. I just can't find it.

The hose running from the block to the EGR valve under the supercharger has JLR part no. AJ811064. Throttle body to EGR valve hose is part no. AJ811063 and the block to elbow hose is AJ811062.

A little confused here... I need the hose that runs from the EGR to the coolant manifold (thermostat) I was told that is the AJ811062 - at lest it looks like the right hose.It DOES run under the SC.
Also - I know this sounds odd, but I am able to wiggle it fairly easily from both sides... is it even possible to try to pull the new hose through without having to remove the SC?

Cheers

Phil

That doesn’t sound like Jaguar engineering style, where everything is designed to be more difficult than necessary.

While you have the supercharger off... change the fluid in it. ;-)

the hose that runs to the thermostat housing is easy. the other one that goes from the water manifold is borderline impossible
