Angry Touch screen off, won't start

As I was trying to set up my cell phone on my new to me 2008 XKR the touch screen went black and I can not seem to get it to come back on. In addition, if I push the start button (with the brake on) it shuts everything off instead of starting the car. I also get an ABS Fault on the center information center.
What did I do wrong and how can I rectify this?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give this newbee.

Low to to dead battery is my conclusion. Charge the battery. And checkout how old the battery is and the water level in the battery.

Idle the engine the next time your doing what you were doing. You ran the battery down.

That was it. Charged the battery and all systems back to normal.

You need to buy a CTEK 3000 trickle charger and keep this connected to your Jaguar battery all the time. Just unplug the connection from charger to car when you are ready to drive away. Your battery will be always fully charged. The Jags use allot of battery power. Many of us Jaguar owners own this brand of charger and they work well.

Also be sure to lock your car at all times, as the electronic sysytems in the Jaguar will remain drawing power up to as long as 36 minutes. These premium cars with allot of electronics draw a huge amount of power from the car battery.

Just google: CTEK 3300 or go to Amazon.com

I use the CTEK 3300 on both my 2009 Jaguar XKR and 2014 Porsche 981. I never have any more concerns over weak or dead batteries.

It's a cheap investment of $65.00 or less and ends frustration.

Or for $300-400 you can get an AGM battery and not mess with any trickle chargers...I think!

Yep. The old battery issue again. Charger or AGM battery is the way to go. I took the AGM battery option. No probs since

I had been attacked by the electrical gremlins since I bought my car 18 months ago. My third new battery in a year was an AGM. Now, I don't lock the car at night and I even leave the smartkey in the car (garaged of course). I installed the AGM over six months ago and I have not had one problem since. I am convinced that an AGM battery is the way to go as opposed to the hassle of a trickle charger.

I can't imagine that having a trickle charger would be a hassle. Just unplug the connections and place cord in trunk and roll. The CTEK 3300 will also charge AGM batteries.

It was never been a hassle for myself, and have not heard any other complaints from other charger users. Just my .02 cents. It's cheap and very effect especially with today's advanced technology of charging.
