You'll learn a lot by perusing the owner manual.

It would help to identify your car model & year, and show pictures of what you are referring to,

Hey, welcome aboard! 👋
The black unit under the cup holders is just the little ashtray/cubby insert (depending on your trim). Handy for coins or random bits if you’re not using it as an ashtray.

As for the center armrest — no tricky catch, you just slide the padded section forward/back with a firm push or pull. It feels a bit stiff the first time but that’s normal.

Enjoy the car, you’ll get used to all the little quirks pretty quick! 🚗✨

actually you need to hold the little centre arm rest catch up and slide at the same time. Suspect if it moves without lifting that catch lever, then something is broken.

i have got used to most of it but the black thing under the cup holders is an electrical component with some red tapes attached as if it comes out? Not sure but it looks technical 🤔

When your car has no power, you can pull that tab to put the ZF transmission into neutral to get the car on a tow truck. You need to keep pressure applied to it to keep the car in neutral (ask me how i know). I suggest keeping the correct size driver in your car, or replace the screw with a Phillips or flat head screw... since your tow truck driver probably doesn't have the right bit (ask me again how I know).

Ah ok thanks so much. So what exactly is the sequence of events to get it onto the truck?

10 messages to get to the root need?
or just inquisitive?

Anyhow, to answer your question
1 as per instructions in owners manual, pull lever to place transmission in neutral
2 as per instructions in owners manual, insert toe eye in socket in front bumper
3 leave doors unlocked and fob in recess.
4 allow operator of flat bed toe truck to pull car onto bed.
5 ensure car is lashed to bed at each suspension corner on car.

ta da, you’re done.

ntb, the nose of the car is low. I use a 2X12 as a lip in front of the bed to assist the approach angle.
