What are the additional FAKRA inputs for?
OK, here's a question for those who are WAY more knowledgeable than I;
On the back of the TSD there are Three FAKRA ports, Beige, Brown and Green.
One is for the Rear Camera (mine is turned on and using the brown one)
What are the other two used for?
AND, how could a person activate the other two to show whatever video source is hooked TO those FAKRA inputs? What would be any procedure to switching to those inputs?
Using those two extra FAKRA inputs opens up HUGE possibilities, such as using these wonderful things (there are many different ones available):
https://www.ebay.com/i/122467123241?chn=ps
Since the brown one is 'active', I can't see why there would be two additional with no connectivity/activation possible.
Someone PLEASE enlighten me!

These assemblies were specified by JLR and manufactured by Alpine and designed to fit other models. . I believe one of the inputs is for the DVB TV tuner available in other markets and the other perhaps for RSE which was also on option in other markets and models. It is also not unusual in the automotive engineering industry to make options for potential future use that may never even be used, it’s cheaper to build and order one size fits all so to speak.

I do now recollect the DVB tuner stuff now, but I'd have zero idea where it'd be in SDD, and if I'd need a file to activate it.
Any more help out there?

THAT'S the one! Thanks guys.
So therefore, there IS a way to turn on the Video Input, although I don't care about any DVB TV stuff, I just need a way to have the video displayed.
CAMBO!
How do I get video turned on? I'll supply it to the FAKRA (which one?), I just need the ability to see it!
Teach me, oh master of stuff.
IF this works out, it'll be a MUCH easier way to have gauges displayed (and Google Maps, and this and that and whatever could be put on a portable device)

The problem may be the switching is for modules in the MOST network you will not have fitted. Without a custom GUI I don’t think having the TV button enabled will actually switch to that input without the module fitted. This certainly would be a nice alternative to the GVIF split of the NAVI.
If I ever have time, I may get around to re writing the TSD software GUI. But don’t hold your breath...

Well, if not for the TV, there is still that other input for some reason or another. Also, since the Rear Camera switches without any external modules, why wouldn't the TV button do it? I'd assume, as if the Sirius/XM module was removed that the TSD would still try to swap to it, but "Unavailable" or something like that would show.

Green is the TV video image input.
If you enable the TV without having a TV module fitted, you get the TV menu on the screen, and when you go into the TV menu all the buttons/controls are there, but they don't do anything.
In principle you might get a picture on the screen if you connect a video source to the green input, and go into the TV menu, but you won't have any control over it. Also the picture is blocked unless the park brake is engaged.
The Beige input is superfluous, there is nothing in the touchscreen software for it. I'm not even sure why they added it because the screen from the XF doesn't have it at all. The screen from the Freelander 2 / LR2 up to 2012 (same-ish hardware) does have the same three fakra inputs, which is even more odd because the LR2 software does not support Reverse Camera or TV at all, nor rear seat entertainment or surround cameras.
There is a way of getting an image on the screen via those fakras but it's through the hidden menu / diagnostic menu. You won't be able to have a Video button in the normal menu like there is for AM/FM, DAB, SAT Radio, AUX, Portable Audio or TV, it just doesn't exist in the software.
And of course it's just a screen in this case, not a touchscreen that gives you control over anything.
