My wife parks on the left side of the garage for that very reason Stuart!

It doesn't matter if wife parks on the right or left side. She's equally adept at dinging my car with the doors on either side of her MDX.

My wife parks her car outside, my cars are inside the garage.

Yesterday I just drove it. Set a new playlist in the iPod and drove. Didn't much matter where. I met a friend for lunch. Restaurant was 15 minutes from home. I left early, took the scenic route and arrived after 90 minutes of country driving. I took a different route home which "required" heavy use of the paddle shifters.

Between medical care, moving to a new home, son getting married next week, it was nice to just turn off the brain and run for awhile.

Default Upgraded front bumper Apron

I want to thank Chris @ Mina Galleries for this awesome Carbon Fiber front Apron/Air splitter. Was an easy install and adds a subtle aggressive touch.

Problem solved with a $1 pool noodle from the Dollar Store.

I must say that is ingenious.

Can I put an edge on a blade you have been grinding.

Use the dark grey pipe insulating foam. In case you drive off with it, it will look more acceptable.

Getting out in-between the cars is always risky. Even if the door doesn't hit it, packages or people can scrape as they walk by. If you always park on the left, can you teach her to back in, so she exits the vehicle on the other side? Find the perfect spot that gives plenty of room to open the door, put a marker or cone on the floor to line up the vehicle to back in, then put a marker that lines up to her immediate left looking out the window when in position. She backs in until the marker is in the window to her left. I have a Jag and a 4Runner, that's how I parked in the garage with minimal amount of extra room.

When I drive her car, why is it that I never have any trouble parking so there is plenty of room between it and the xk? To be honest though, I know my wife tries her best to leave plenty of room but it is just more difficult for her to judge distance than me.

Yeah, my wife sucks at parking also. Especially any reversing involved either parking or leaving. Holy man, takes her minutes and several gear changes instead of just 'backing up'. I should take a video of it and post on Youtube.

Thanks for the idea, but why would I spend more than the $1 that I already spent? Wouldn't that make me a hypocrite after grinding my ax about spending money foolishly? (It's an inside joke, if you haven't followed another thread. Q&C gets it.)

You know something, you just made me realize that it would be cheaper and better to use these pool noodles for a buck on water pipes than the same foam for a lot more money.
