Default Wood trim

Is there a difference with the wood trim from the 2007 to present cars. Also does the wood trim for the XKR have the R logo on the glove box piece or is it all wood. I have the Aluminum finish in my 2012 but am considering replacement of the 4 pieces (glove box , under gauge and the 2 at the window switches) if I find a used set sometime in the future.

Mine is a MY11. The wood glovebox piece has an R on it. I'd have loved to swap mine for yours, but mine is set up for RHD and the pieces would be different. I also had the centre console and shifter surround in wood. It is all wrapped now, I couldnt stand it (just different strokes, I suppose).

Jagtoes, please let me know if your interested in swapping your interior aluminum veneer trim for burl wood. I have the complete burl wood package including instrument and console surrounds in my XKR. See photos below.

Sorry Tom I thought I responded but I see it didn't go through. What i am looking for is an extra set of wood trim. Specifically a 4 piece set in burl or walnut. I have the black onyx surround (will keep this even with wood) and center console with the aluminum glove box and over steering wheel trim along with the 2 pieces near the window switches. I would like to keep these pieces and get a 2nd set in wood. Thank you for the offer though.

OK understood. If your still interested I could sell you the 4 pieces shown in the burl walnut veneer that your looking for at say 1/2 the retail price. I would buy the same 4 pieces in dark mesh from Jag and then it would only cost me 1/2 the retail price. Let me know.

OK i'll keep it in mind. This also brings another question and do I assume that the XJ trim is the same as the XK. Also is the 2006 -2015 XK trim all of the same too.

Just to clarify, the trim that is in the photos is from my 2010 XKR not my wife's XJ that you see in my signature. The trim from 2010MY will fit subsequent years. The only difference being the availability of different wood and aluminum veneer trim during intervening years. Fitting is essentially the same for all model years 2010+. It's possible that it is the same for 2006-2009 but I do not know the answer to that question.

I have attached the fitting instructions.

The XK wood has essentially remained the same from the 2006 (2007 in North America) to the present - with the shape of the console piece around the shifter being the only change in shape or fitting. Various woods and finishes (gloss, satin...) have been used, just as in the sedans.
The wood is a veneer (as in all luxury cars) attached to a metal substrate.
