Well done!

That is very close to the terminal speed of my 5 litre XKR when it was stock (115.73) and also better than my best standing quarter with the XKR-S tune (12.521).

Now I have sticky tyres though I hope to get much closer to 12 secs when I try again at the end of September.

I reckon your ambients are perfect now. Did you ever sort the lower pulley?

I ended up abandoning that project for other performance pursuits with a full custom intake and full custom exhaust from headers back to tips (actually I don’t yet have tips
fitted as I’ve yet to decide on a style).

Also figuring out a way to fit fully adjustable coilovers since I am now tracking the car full time.

Yes it's pretty cool here at the moment, but i don't think it was that big a difference compared to the cooling effects of water/meth injection, i'm still on the fence about going down that road, I might look at it again.

I took off the lower pulley, so it's back to stock crank pulley, just the smaller upper pulley.

I'd like to get rid of the factory dual intake for something in aluminium without the resonators, only for the noise, I miss the whine...

Headers? Any pics to share?

definitely fix the blower wine , thats priority . and worth a few side affect HP TOO.
or is the stock duel intake on these quite efficient to the point it only aids sound un like the old single ones ?
i'm guessing your tune will be delaying any timing retard regardless ?. and by the look of your trap speed it did not retard due to IAT2 Anyhow ..
but one thing i have learned with the STR , is increased liquid capacity in the intercooler set up is a great work around .
and a very cheep mod . may be give that a go if you are looking for charge temp aid , before any high end pricy mods .
that 60ft is golden mate , keep that up .

I did 3" aluminium with un-oiled K&N cones from the lower front grille/fog grilles with few bends and as close to 0 degrees as possible, along with a nearly open exhaust, you can feel the air blow out the rear substantially compared to the stock configuration. Here's some videos to listen to.

Sorry, don't mean to hijack your thread.

The WHINE!!!!!!!!!

Damn, I need that.

Can you upload those vids to youtube?

Is there a thread on this metal intake? I remember seeing something about the ducts in the bumper, but i'm more interested in seeing the pipework up to the throttle body.

Really need to get a flyby vid of mine for comparison.

The stock tune pulls timing with increasing IAT2 based on the detonation properties of 95RON fuel, the modified tune has less reduction in it, since we run 98RON or better.

But even without pulling the timing out so much, increasing IAT2 costs power, so that's where the water/meth would come in.

yes I understand both these points .
thats a good advantage over stock right there.
sure water/meth is going to work .
My point was for a fraction of the cost the
capacity tank for IC coolant also helps to a noticeable extent as well.
But ether one will only help if your already having timing retard
implemented during your run .
it seems your runs were clean and not interfered with by iat2 ,
but during summer those times may not be realistic . Without cooling aid.

Very impressive Cambo! Crazy to think this trapped more than some 5.0SC and 4.2 TS cars. Was there a reason you took off the lower pulley?

There is very little free space under the bonnet in the XKR, there is a spot where a 2-3 litre tank could fit, but it would have to be custom fabricated to fit, which would be quite expensive to produce unless you're a fabrication guru who can cut, shape & weld aluminium yourself. Which i'm not....

Cheers mate.

The crank pulley was put back to stock because;

#1 the belt was slipping/squealing, nothing would shut it up, tried different belts, tried to find a suitable flanged idler pulley (couldn't find one) and it just drove me nuts in the end
#2 the excessive heat resulting from the extra overdrive negated any gains from "higher boost", and it was getting so hot I feared it would be undriveable on a circuit track in hot weather.
#3 the car actually ran slower with the crank pulley on, until about the 5th revision to the tune to compensate for the reduced supercharger efficiency, where we got it to run a little bit quicker than with stock pulleys, but still slower than what it's done now with just the upper pulley.

Cambo, have you ported the Eaton any? I think I still have the copies of MMFF from back in the day when they built up a new production 2nd gen lightning.

FYI I have a 3 litre tank fitted perfectly in the empty space in front of the cabin air filter housing.

Lots of posts here on the forum about porting the M112, the likes of Steigmeier and so on, the S-Type R guys tried it, didn't bring any perceivable gains in performance, just noise. Just because it worked on a Mustang or Lightning, doesn't mean it applies to the Jags.

No such space on a RHD car unfortunately...
