Default XK2006 Converible closing problems.

Hi Friends.
Was just closing my soft top and the siding cover plate seal on the RHD FAILED TO close as the sliding seal appeared to jam and the attachment component and the string are broken.
Any advise for removal and repairs appreciated. I am based in Australia.
Is there a service manual on line?

You will have to remove the inner quarter panel to repair it. Not a difficult job but time consuming. Looking at the picture, it appears someone has already done something in there. There should not be any white wire ties in there.

There is another recent thread dealing with the same issue. The thread includes a TSB from jaguar which contains full instructions for replacing the sliding plate. Unfortunately I can't remember the title of the thread, but I do know it is not much alder than a week or ten days so it should be easy to find. Good luck.
