Default 2000 XKR Converible Rear Differential Issue

First off, I would like to thank everybody who has helped this newcomer with my XKR on this forum..Its invaluable to have the resources and experience available here. Anyways as I make my way around my car that I bought out of an estate a few months back, I could see upon initial inspection oil around the rear diff, in fact I posed the question here earlier and got several responses indicating its most likely a input pinion seal. I have the car on jack stands, and took a closer look..I have included some photos of what I see...Lots of oil in multiple locations. I'm looking for input on these photos and is the pinion seal can make this type of mess or is something else haywire. I appreciate any help/ advice on what I should do..

How big are the images - maybe they are too large - try resizing them to (for example) 700 pixels wide and keep the file size down to a few hundred kb.

Its also possible you don't have enough time on the forum to allow you to post images yet.

Photos are 400X600. How do I know if I can or cannot post photos? it does say I may post attachments under rules?

Shouldn't be any forum bars.
What procedure are you using?

Default Photo difficulties

I use the "manage attachments" tab, select them from my PC, I select the photos from PC, I get the previews to come up in the window with the option to add comments to my pictures. I click upload in the upper right corner, they disappear never to be seen again. tried it 5 times, photos are 400X600 pixels.

The oil may be due to the breather being plugged. It's on the upper right of the rear face and I think a 14mm wrench to remove.

Does a blocked breather make a large mess?

That should work, try using the image button from the bar at the top of the reply box, it should be the same but worth a try.

It often does., and it's easy enough to remove and inspect.
