Default $1000!

I have $1000 to spend on my baby and want the most bang for my buck. I've got no pending maintenance issues (hoses, tensioners, brakes and rear hub bearings already done). I could upholster the front seats, Ademesh has a hard shell tonneau cover that looks sweet or maybe a windblocker. I have lowering springs and could perhaps do that. Any suggestions?

Saw the thread title ........ and I thought this was going to be the latest FREE PRIZE DRAW!

If I had a spare thousand it would be pack a bag, fill the tank and go for a long drive.

Dave,

That's one of the 'dream drives' I'll probably never get to do. I always enjoy seeing pics and videos posted by members on the West Coast.

Enjoy it.

Lowering should be first!! You'll ne'er believe the difference. And while you're there, check the upper shock mounts and bushings. Best money spent!!

You didn't mention wheels. Do you like the ones you have?

I have chrome Revolvers and I kinda like the old school look. If I did switch it would be Coventry Hornets.
Here's how it looks now.

the link below is the hard shell tonneau I'm considering.

I've got a leaper that I would be willing to let go for that price!
The windblocker would be a good choice if you ride around in cool weather.
I know that I can go outside and it doesn't feel cool at all, then, once I am going 75-80 down the highway, it feels a LOT cooler!

Good thought. I'vee been tempted and close on the windblocker a few times.

If you like the revolvers (I do) how about lowering the back to fill in the wheelwell? It's on my list.

There is at least one member who has the cover you are thinking about, but I don't remember it being a two-piece unit. I could be wrong. Maybe they will post with their thoughts and a picture of it installed.

You may have seen this already, but here is the Mina version: http://www.minagallery.com/jagxp/Jag...or/tonneau.htm

I've seen the Mina cover that is larger. Rob Enderle has a carbon fiber one on his beast. The one from Ademesh is less money and I think Mina gets theirs from them. I'd still like to hear from someone that has this one.

sherbercars did a mod to remove his rear seat and had a nice custom tonneau cover looked like a single piece (included a custom glass windscreen) otherwise - +1 on new wheels

You probably went over the $1000 about halfway through that list.

I guess I'm lucky (touch wood) but I have a pretty much code free car. I put dual subs in so the audio is good enough for someone who's hearing has been destroyed by years of rock & roll at way too high a volume. If I wanted to spend the money on maintenance I would probably do the transmission filter and fluid.

I think that's the direction I'm leaning. Whatever, I will post pictures.
