Default 03, how long it take to bleed/top reservoir tank?

Ok, my latest repair was the WP on my 03 XK8 this pas week. Every freaking hose is replaced on that car. I no longer smell rad fluid after having drove it. I am watching the level in the res tank. How many times do I expect to top it off. Today was the 3rd day since WP was put on and I am still topping it off with a small amount of rad fluid. I top it off to the bottom of opening then I look at it after a run or so and have to ad a tiny amount again to the bottom of the opening. When should I expect to stop topping it off. It is getting driven at least 20 min at a time, with heater on HIGH coming out the front vents as stated in manual I have.

When the car heats up, coolant is expelled to the atmospheric overflow in the fender well. I have found that if I keep adding to the lower edge of the filler neck that is actually too much, and not all of the coolant is drawn back to the pressure tank, and it is therefore slightly below the neck.
Try just observing the level for a few days, it may stabilize.

Ok I will let it drop and see if it stabilizes.

I replaced the coolant outlet pipe assembly on my wife's 2006 XK8 on November 28th. After refilling the system, I topped off the expansion tank every morning for the next four days. Then it finally stabilized just below the bottom of the filler neck where I prefer to keep it. The fluid level has stayed there ever since, but I continue to check it first thing every morning just to be safe....

If it's only a small amount then I doubt you've much to worry about and it should stabilise.

If it continues or gets worse, the connections to the Atmospheric Recovery Bottle may be at fault.

The pipe from the Expansion Tank (arrowed in red) rarely gives trouble but the Bottle cap (arrowed in yellow) is known to come loose and allow coolant to leak as the engine gets up to temperature.

well I will watch it. It usually gets a little below the opening then I top it off thinking it was losing.

It's not that bad. Here's the section from JTIS:

You'll need to remove the liner (splash shield) if you ever have to change upper wishbone bushes.
