05 xk8 radiator splash under tray panel
Looking for the radiator splash panel for my 05 XK8. Car's built 02 2004 onward, as shown in Jaguar repair manual.
Mine was torn during attempted theft 29 Jan this year.
I have looked everywhere to no avail- even at Barratt in the UK.
Anyone with knowledge of where one might be located would be appreciated. I've looked at E-Bay, Amazon etc .
Thanks in advance.

If it is C2N2744 then SNG has it on special order. They're available from Heritage so presumably from the dealer, but not cheap
Thanks Pal. That picture in his post is the splash shield I need. He never said he found one, but hope he did.
I'm at a lost as to why this part is so hard to find since it was put on all XK8's built after 02 2004, which was built until at least 2006.It is even in the repair manual listed as: " On cars built after 02 2004 onward".
Thanks for the response.

Chuck...
The Under-Tray for the Late Model XK8 - XKR (Convex Chrome Mesh Grill) is hard to find as it covers 75% or more of the area from the Bumper back to the Engine....It is much larger than the Earlier Model X-100s and is only (1) piece......It seems that most Mechanics "accidently" forget to replace this part...due to it's size, therefore, they seem to disappear quickly.... That's what happened to my 1st one......Still have the 2nd One after I had to pay over $440.00 and shipping charges.....This one seems to be around $200.00, which I can't explain but that is a good deal......BUY IT QUICKLY!

Hope I've interpreted this correctly, but check this thread from wutend666:

As you said "not cheap" but with a few senior/military discounts, I pulled the plug and will have a brand new one here by weeks end next week. If ever I need a "can't find" Jaguar part again" guess where my first call will go and I recommend them heartedly.
Thanks for your interest and recommendation .
A fellow XK8 Jag person. From the picture, yours is a beauty.

Chuck,
Here again, another Jaguar Dealer (Atlanta this time) with no interest in the older XK8-XKR parts...Apparently, Atlanta had the Part needed all along...Just had to get to the right Guy! This makes it tough when you really need something!
Glad you found it and I hope the cost wasn't more than the $450.00 or so that I paid!

Like you said "another dealer with no interest in helping on older Jag's."
I'm afraid your right. I just may have hit it at the right time, but the guy I dealt with was more then helpful. I hope it's a new trend.
Thanks for your comments and yes it was a little higher by 45 dollars, so I guess that's not too bad. It listed I think he said at 590. What a rip off. But that's Jaguar.
By safe.

Chuck,
Glad you finally managed to track one down.
Dealerships do seem to be a lottery. The one here covers most of the upmarket vehicles, but it's by no means good, IMO. I wouldn't take my car for their attention as there are none of the old school technicians left - at least for Jaguar.
Having said that, the parts department is excellent: the Jaguar parts guy is brilliant - and knows his stuff. Parts come free of UK VAT and shipping charges, plus I get a 10% discount - so he's always my first port of call.
Prices do seem to be hiking, though. The receiver/dryer which cost me £42 in 2017 was £94 by last year, and the famed octopus is now £140. Pretty expensive rubber
Heritage is currently showing C2N2744 at £219.33 ($304.30), which is what I'd expect a dealership to charge (plus any local taxes). I guess shipping is going to be expensive given it's a bulky item.
