Is the heater hose going to the heater matrix and the return hose in the engine bay getting hot?

I had the same issue.

Check your fog lights work - they are on the same fuse as the heater pump. It’s a 5 amp fuse in the engine compartment, left side (looking from in the cabin) - sorry I can’t remember the fuse number but there is another thread on the forums covering this. If it’s blown it may well blow again, then either risk a 7.5 amp fuse (I did temporarily and it’s not been a problem) or try and find the issue.

Just 'jump' the heater pump relay and listen of feel the pump.
You can also see if the circuit is drawing current with an ammeter?
Heater pump relay is in the ENGINE COMPARTMENT FUSE BOX RELAYS

That's great advice but I'm sure with my car that when I turn the ignition on and the car starts its System Check, I can easily hear the sloshing sound as the pump starts circulating. Unless there are differences between model years. if you don't hear any sloshing sound, then something is wrong.

The sloshing sound you hear may be the supercharger pump.

IIRC the auxiliary heater pump only comes on when engine coolant is above a certain temperature - so it should not be creating a sploshing noise when the engine is cold.

I've read that somewhere, but mine always seems to come on with the ignition. Not cold enough?

Check F15 (10A) in the engine compartment fusebox, and, as per Hunty's suggestion, F3 (5A) in the same fusebox. If it's the latter, then the Active Sounder (behind RHS headlamp under the liner) is probably dead and can be disconnected.

THank you all, I left the car running to warm up to check the heater hoses as Richard suggested and the heater started working, I guess there must have been an airlock. But all good now thank you all!
