Default 2001 XK8 Canister Purge Valve

I noticed that Barratt and others have two different models of canister purge valves for sale. They are as follows: LJG 1515 BB and LJB 1515 AB prices are the same and Barratt has them listed for $113.25/

Question is, anyone know which model to buy, shows both fitting the 2001 XK8. Mine has the dual canisters if that makes a difference. Also I have not pulled out the old part as yet so I am trying to save myself the grief of doing the dismantle twice. Have the check engine light and the correct code so am pretty sure thats my issue.

Any help would be appreciated.

Should mention, I have a new purge valve for my 2000 XK8, which it turns out wasn't the problem. Still in packaging and I'll sell it for significantly less than cost if you need it. Good luck.

Do you need a Canister Close Valve or a Purge Valve?

The purge valve is in the front of the car, the CCV is near the rear suspension.

The later purge valves have a GREEN cap used for testing and the earlier ones do not have the test port.
That is the only difference I am aware of.

I would get the later one for ALL applications if the price is the same.
