Help please. I can not find an answer.
My instrument lights all go off when the head light switch on steering column is in any position but "off". When the head light switch is "off" the instrument lights are bright both day and night. When illuminated, they are not controllable by the dimmer knob which now is all the way to the left "anti-clockwise" and "clicked". The headlights work fine in the "headlight" switch position as do the running lights in their position.. Any ideas on getting my head lights and instrument lights on at the same time? Thanks in advance for any advise!

The dimmer only works when the parking or headlights are on. If the dimmer does nothing in either direction with the lights are on it is not getting power or the dimmer is faulty.

Check the wiring diagram to see if there is a fuse in the circuit. Otherwise you are going to have to take the covers off to access the switch.

There's a post in the "Sticky" How To section above that discusses your problem. Something about a faulty solder connection on the dash cluster printed circuit board.
