99 jag xk8 vert problem

Had trouble for the first time with the roof not wanting to go back up. Put it all the way back down and it came up with a bit of nudging and closed properly. Just fluid??? How easy is the to do?

You'll need a turkey baster and abt a foot of clear plastic hose. Good info at jagrepair.com

Check the fluid colour also if it is yellow it should be replaced with green Pentosin CHF-11S the old stuff can gel with age.

And check that the petcock on the side of the pump is fully closed - clockwise.
