Default 99 Xk8 Trans fault/ gauge problem/ electrical

After revving over 4k rpms it will say trans fault and put itself into trans fail safe mode. If I rev in park/neutral it will still do it. I've narrowed it down the the throttle position sensor because I looked at it and it's been replaced and the cap on top is broken/falling out.
Problem aside from that, when I rev the car also in neutral or in drive, at the same time it hits the trans fault code. All the gages stop working for a split second and the dash says "battery not charging" once below that rpm range, the code goes away and it continues as normal. The trans code also gets cleared after turning the car off and restarting. More focused on the gauge problem. Im not seeing anyone else with a similar issue

I'm not an electrician but the apparent relationship between Engine Rev's, Battery Charging and sudden loss of Power, suggests Alternator.
Assuming you're getting no other error codes?

I would check ALL the modules for faults.(especially the TCM and INST PK)

Checking the ECM will not tell you much about the other modules on the CAN bus.
