Have 2002 XK8, had trans fault message...transmission seemed to be in limp mode (starting in what feel like 2nd gear). Found used transmission and installed...after installation, there was still trans fault message. Looked for codes (with regular reader), and did not see any codes, used a better reader and came up with the P1748 (pressure regulator). Didn't have good reader to check the trans that was removed, but the symptoms were exactly the same. My question is could the trans computer allow or cause this issue. Any help appreciated.
