Default ABS Module again

I got the C1095 error and knew that it is the ABS module, so I pulled it. It looks like it has already been replaced once, and the 97 XK8 only has 20K. Does anyone know why they keep going bad and how to protect it, other than disconnecting it, so that it does not happen again? It is already a 5-amp fuze. I guess you could go to a smaller fuze.

There are 2 ABS modules for the 1997 XK8
JLM20129--5 pipe 6 valve EXCEPT TRACTION CONTROL (LJA2210BH written on the case)
JLM20130--6 pipe 9 valve WITH TRACTION CONTROL (LJA2210AH written on the case)

You don't REPLACE ABS modules anymore, you repair them.
I don't even know if they are still available NEW? but they were over $1600 20 years ago.
No telling what they are now if still available.

If it was replaced, it will likely need repair.
If it was repaired, maybe needs AGAIN?

C1095 relates to the connection to the pump. The solder on the board eventually cracks, even if they look okay. Just resolder the two contact points.

C1095 is almost always failure of the two solder connections to the pump. Just resolder them.
