I just wanted to share an ABS module problem I resolved several months ago.

I had the usual intermittent ABS/No Traction fault light for a couple of years. The fault would generally clear after the ignition was turned off and then
on again, only to reappear for some random reason in the near future while driving the car.

I had taken the ABS module apart when I first acquired the vehicle some seven years ago and re-soldered the power connections which were cracked,
and everything seemed good for a few years until problems started again.

I did the usual checks and resistance readings on the wheel speed sensors and all were good, although my OBDII reader always indicated the front left speed sensor as the culprit.
In an attempt to remedy things I purchased a new sensor and both front cables anyway, but again had no success. I split the module once again and checked the power connections
and found nothing out of the ordinary, although on this occasion I just touched up, with a small tipped soldering iron, all the pin connections where the ABS plug connects to the
Printed Circuit Board. These are the 21 soldered connections as seen on the top left of the pictured PCB.

Much to my delight, this cured the problem and I have not seen the dreaded warning light for 6 months now!

A final word of warning: If you do carry out this repair, use a very small tipped soldering iron. The last thing you want to do is get the PCB track hot enough to lift those small surface
mounted resistors located next to the lower row of pins.
