1st and most important is DO NOT use a DVM on any air bag circuit with the battery connected, possibly one of the most expensive mistakes you will ever make!!
You need the code from the flashing display when you turn the ignition on, use the search within this forum for "airbag," this will explain how to read the code. When you have the code drop back here, we then have a starting point. TS

Searched the archives and found some info.
This is the airbag light in the right instrument cluster.
Mine stays on, never flashes or goes out after turning the key and starting the car.
According to the search info I found the airbag flash codes and info and warnings about connectors and disconnecting the battery, understood.
I also found one thread that mentioned that if the light is steady it is the sensors between the grill and radiator that may have become dislodged/tilted causing the issue.
All was OK three days ago and then my wife used the car for two days while her car was in the shop. When I got in it yesterday the airbag light was on. I asked about it and she thought it was normal and didn't pay it any attention. She did say she scraped a curb on the front while parking. I guess you know where this is going.....
So I 'll check the front sensors this weekend if anyone has more info I'd appreciate it and thanks for your time.

The airbag electrical connections are notorious for being intermittent. There are a few under the seat, which sits very low to the floor. You have a clue in what you said, your wife drove the car... did she adjust the seat? Did you adjust it back? Happened to me, there are a bunch of writeups on how to diagnose. The fuse may have been secondary to a short in the wiring at some point. Pulling the seat and verifying the connections are sound might be preventative and fairly simple.
