When I first start the car and don't wait and just turn the key, my airbag light stays on. If I shut off my car and start it again, it stays off. I'm not sure that is a short; it seems to possibly be a communication problem. Has anyone seen this before? I get no codes

 

What device are you using to communicate with the SRS module?

 

I have multiple, and none of them see it. I will just have to wait for the AB light to come on again to check. I just got back, and it was off, but 30 minutes earlier, it was on.

 

So you do have the ability to read Chassis codes?

ALL generic code readers can read P (Powertrain) codes but only more expensive/dealer level communication devices can read P, B, C and U codes.

ABS codes are C (Chassis) codes.
