Default Antenna plug on radio

Can someone describe the physical location where the antenna plugs into the back of the radio ? I apparently can't use the antenna connection in the trunk for my Bluetooth device so I need to plug it into the back of the radio. I am aware of the process fro removing the radio but I'm hoping to just be able to remove the glove box of pull back the carpets a bit and maybe reach the antenna plug. This of course depends on knowing exactly where it is......lower left ...middle of the back...upper right etc.

Cheers

Thanks David. The picture is very clear and shows the antenna socket. I am trying to orient the angle from which it was taken. It appears to me that when sitting in the car facing forward the plug is on the lower left corner ?

Yep Barry,

If memory serves me, sitting looking forward, the DIN was on the RHS of the unit (down on my previous photo), so the antenna socket is on the left (top on my pic)

Congratulations Barry, sounds like you were able to reach it from behind?

John

Yup managed to get it Now I need to find a switched power source , but that should not be too hard in the huge bunch of wires behind the glove box. The auxiliary plug in the glove box is always powered. There is a third terminal in the connector for it but it does not seem to carry any power at all

You can get switched power in the center console from the phone plug. Pin out is in this post

Since you have the same year as mine you should be able to do something like this.

Thanks but I think I now know why the switched power at my aux plug is not working. Apparently I have to install a relay in the trunk to enable it. Will check it out tomorrow
