Default Arden fog light surrounds.

Anyone have the arden fog light surrounds on their XK8/R? I've seen a few photos on google but most are the Arden sample shots. I've actually ordered them in the paintable style but if they look better chrome, I can wrap them. Also thought about maybe painting the same silver as my wheel centers. Otherwise they're going body color with stainless torx screws. Arden fog light surrounds.-image.jpg
I think this is the BEST looking XK I've ever seen!!!

Default Mina

Mina was working on a set like this, not sure if they ever got it done but they'd sure be cheaper.

Ha ha. Chris is making them for me!! Lol also making me the actual vented arden style bonnet bulges. He says hopefully by first of the week he can ship.

And I just found this photo I haven't seen. I'm definitely painting mine body color. He said he thinks has a set in carbon but if I start carbon, I'll want more!!

I have a brand new pair of the real Arden chrome surrounds I purchased about 2 years ago & then found they are for 2001 on cars. In the mean time I have updated to a Paragon Performance front bumper that eliminates the fog lamps.

Looks great. I'd miss the fog lits a little. I wish paragon would work a deal with Chris at Mina in the states to sell his kits. It's the shipping that kills me!!!!

John you sure they are only for 01 plus cars? I think that they would be a cool addition to my Arden car.

Thanks,

George

The shipping was not as bad as you might expect. I will say the quality is top notch.

Yes otherwise they would have been on my car with the original bumper & Arden air dam.

philhef,
While I would agree with you that the Arden XKR is a beautiful example, I would add, "despite the fog light surrounds." Those look awful to me, bulky, un-Jaguar like, and with exposed screws to boot. Oh well, that's what makes the world go 'round.

I like the surrounds but in body color for my car. I think the point is to give it a racing edge look with the exposed screws. That's actually what I like!
I don't think jaguar has a specific "look" to adhere to, personally. They have a very rich racing history and and I've noticed a lot of very cool things on the racing cars. I love the X100 style but wish they had had more aggressive packages, styling wise, like they do now. I've had several members say I'm trying to look like an R with a regular 8 and if that's what they think, so be it. Even the standard 8 is fast! I really just want my car to be as unique as possible, exotic looking even. Here's a pic of a racing Jag that has a very similar detail around the lights and I LOVE the look!!

Yeah, Mina has this set here: Which definitely look awesome... I think I might have to get them since I have their grill and they look so nice together

And Phil - I am with you 100% - that is definitely the sharpest XKR I have seen... I especially like the cutouts on the side of the front fenders (kind of like the 68-69 'vettes)...
