That’s not what the spacer if for. It will go between the pliable part of the strut mount and the spring seat so it is not sitting on the heads of the studs and rivets.
That's why ours (baxtor) and I countersink those areas.
As long as I am trying to help you, check the washer goes all the way down on the shaft of the shock stem to the shelf designed to hold it on a lever position. Also check the bump stops.
Have a look at the heads of the rivets, they might be prone of the plate and will keep the plate from lying flat on the inner fender.
If you can't get 5 threads showing on the stud after install, something is wrong. If yours is a XK8, no R.

As Wayne says, our isolator allows for that. I always considered stud heads and rivets to be a stress failure starting point for the spring isolators and incorporated the voids in my design.
It’s actually Autoacer. I spelled it wrong. They are on eBay. Search Jaguar XK8 Front Spring Mount.
They are actually sourced from India as I was ridiculed by another member. Most automotive parts are made internationally including URO. Would have been better qualified made in UK I suppose.

I should have bought yours, but I have these now. I am just trying to improve them so they last longer.

they’ve been a subsidiary of an India company (Tata Motors / Tata Group) ever since Ford sold them).
All electric now too. ugh !
Not a fan of EV’s, the next generation can have them. My future driving years are going to be so few in number that I don’t have to worry about being forced into the EV world.
I'm with you on the EV's Zray. They will eventually get everyone into EV's whenever they decide too. Like as there will be no gasoline, or it's so expensive we can't afford it.
