Hi All,
Odd issue: the first time Mick Jaguar is left out in cold weather for the last two years, he won't start. Acts like it's battery (dummy-guage shows low voltage) but battery is fine. Throws a code that there's a Faulty Linear Switch. LAst year, I pulled the switch (on the right side of J-Gate) VERY carefully dismantled it, cleaned it with electronice cleaner, and carefully re-installed it. VROOM! Back to the party!
This year, same thing happens on the first cold day. Only no love when I re-clean the switch. I THINK, t=something has broken in the switch, but no replacements are available by conventional means.
Has anyone else experienced this, and how did you solve it?
I know Module MAsters will repair seat modules; has anyone got a "person" who has repaired other electronics modules (like said Linear Switch)?
Is anyone parting out 2006 XK8/XKR and interested in selling me a switch (C2N2467)
Any other suggestions? Two shop have looked at it and shaken their heads.
