Default Carbon Canister leak - help!

I asked this question elsewhere under other topic but, I think I'm going to need help sooner than later. Feeling a bit desperate here as I'm not finding what I need in the JTIS nor on YouTube.

Driver side (USA) Canister is leaking vapor at the lower tube connecting to the canister. Do you know if there is an o-ring that may have failed in there? Can I just pull the connector out?

Since that pipe assembly is no longer available can I just epoxy it into the canister to stop the leak?

No find a new oring that fits replace it and use a "non hardening" sealant like hylaseal at the connection. Just replace the oring and lube with vaseline

hylaseal ? I can't find that with a basic google search.

is that like Hylomar ? Hylomar is great stuff, Originally developed for sealing high pressure hydraulic lines in jet aircraft, it has many applications in automotive use. Distributed by Permatex in the USA and the better auto parts stores have it. Use sparingly as you don't want it circulating in the oil or fuel system.

Hylosil and Hylomar were developed in conjunction with Rolls Royce.

The OEM Jaguar Hylosil is white. I also like Victor Reinz 'REINZOSIL' (it is a black sealant).

Hylomar Universal Blue is a non-setting gasket and jointing compound.

yes, it was the RR jet engine division. A fantastic product for use on troublesome fittings, seems to work with ease on gas or oil or antifreeze, or hydraulic applications where other sealants have failed. I've used it extensively on vintage motorcycle and vintage car restorations where parts are often worn out, but replacements are no longer available.

"........Developed by Rolls Royce PLC in the 1960’s to seal against the synthetic lubricants that were used in early jet engines, Hylomar Universal Blue is recognized around the world as being the best of the non-setting sealants. Non-setting sealants work by filling the imperfections between the joint surfaces. This stops any fluids leaking through the joint. Think of Hylomar as being like a “Post-It Note". All Hylomar sealants have low cohesive strength, meaning you can separate a joint sealed with Hylomar. ...... "
