Default Central locking problems

Hi there,
I wonder if anyone can tell me the exact position of the central locking security module?
I thought it was by the battery, but cannot see it??

My central locking is playing up and want to check that its not been water soaked, as this seems to be a common theme.

I found an ecu box by the battery, I think, all was dry and well, but no aerial point for the security system, so assume this was not it?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Al

I'm sure other will chime in, but meanwhile check fuse #15 on both left and right fascia fuse boxes. This has been the culprit for the "locking dance" on a few occasions.

AFAIK, the Module is located Underneath the Fuse Box in the Trunk.

When hunting for modules, it often helps to know what they look like. Here's the locations and drawings of them:

Yes, the doors lock and unlock themselves several times . I do not know exactly what triggers the "dance"

Please can anybody tell me the likely cause of the “locking dance” as it’s been doing it for a while and I want to resolve it.

I really appreciate any advice you can give. Thanks 😊

Usually caused by a failing microswitch in the driver's door latch assembly. Can also be caused by a failing microswitch in the passenger's door latch assembly....

Replacements available from www.mouser.com. Microswitch part no. Omron D2SW-3L3MS fits both sides, and they are much more robust than the factory microswitches are/were.....

Thanks for the advice. I've dismantled the door latch and looked at the microswitches. There are 3 of these in each latch. Do you, or anyone have experience in which ones fail or should be replaced first, please?
The microswitches are pretty expensive here in the UK, so I only want to purchase what I actually need.
All help very welcome and appreciated.
