Default Clonking business

My new XK is performing very well.
There is however one clonk which I think is related to front suspension. It only appears on badly paved roads. It's like something loose but I can not figure out where exactly comes from.

I'm taking the car to an indie next week and would appreciate your "where to look" ideas once in the ramp.

Thanks

You'll probably need to be a bit more specific. I have had a "clunk" for the last 8 years (since I bought the car) that happens when the front wheels first encounter a speedbump (even at slow speed) and it is also there on uneven streets. I have had a few mechanics search for the cause and replaced few bushings along the way but still there. My suspicion is maybe shock mount on the passenger side but it is not annoying enough to keep throwing money at.

I put the car on a ramp today to look for posible clonk sources.
All bushes seem to be on good visual condition, wheel bearings are ok too.
But engine mounts, they are leaking.
As I explained before the clonk comes from the front right area but only when driving on patched roads. I wonder if it could come fron shot mounts.

If so, how difficult is to change them? Or how much it will cost at an indy?

BTW the botton of the car looks terrific: no oil, no rust, no dents, whatsoever. I'm delighted with the car, just want to get rid of the clonk to have it perfect, for an old lady that is!!

front sway bar bushings are almost always an issue on these older cars, no matter the mileage. I had a shop check them and they seemed ok. Eventually has another do the sway bar bushings and that shut up the CLUNK.

Could also be the lower ball joints. You have to pry on them to see the play otherwise they can look perfectly normal. Mine needed both the sway bar bushes and lower ball joints. But mine didn't clunk even driving over a speed bump slowly.

Early cars suffered from lower steering column knocking. Jaguar modified them. If your column appears to be white plastic it might be that.

+1 on the sway bar bushings. They may look fine, until you remove them...

If your engine mounts are leaking, change them ASAP.
