Is there a list of error codes available anywhere on site ?
I have the Actron scanner for the 2004 XK-8.
Thanks in advance

Look in the 'Sticky' above to download the JTIS factory service manual. It contains the OBDII codes for each year as well as the electrical schematics and full detail on every service/repair on these cars.

Here is the 'P' codes for the '02.

Probably. But couldn't find what I was looking for.
Guess we're just not sufficiently computer literate yet.

The 'stickies' are posts which always appear at the top of the list of threads (see the red box in the is screenshot):

Codes-sticky.jpg
(click on the image to enlarge it)

They are identified with the word 'Sticky' in front of the thread title.

Threads which hold information for regularly asked questions or have especially useful solutions are flagged as 'Sticky' by moderators.

Thanks, I looked all thru the stickies before posting and could not find a list like the one you provided for the '02. My (or more accurately my wife's)
is an '04 XK8. Are the codes the same even for the different engines ?

Thanks again.

With a 2004 model year, you have the 4.2-litre engine. So you'll need the codes that pertain to the 4.2, not the earlier 4.0....

That's what I assumed to be the case. I actually held out for an '04 so I could have the newer engine based on the information on this site when I bought it.
Still have been unable to find the correct code list though-------------

If you cannot download JTIS on your PC, then order a JTIS CD off ebay. It covers through the 2004 model year, but the majority of the information it contains still pertains to our 2005 S-Type and 2006 XK8 as well. I bought one off ebay in June 2009 for the grand total of six bucks. It has paid for itself many times over....

Thanks for the suggestion. There would be no problem downloading it if I could find it. I've been thru the "stickies", but can't seem to find any chart that relates to the needed codes.

Please do not think all the effort that went into that is not appreciated.
It certainly is. However, even though I work with FTP sites on a daily basis, this one is way beyond me. Thanks just the same.
