Correct battery for the xk8

Default Correct battery for the xk8

Hi all, looking to replace the battery in the xk8 I know that the OE battery for a XK8 is a VARTA made in Germany. Part Number C2D22312. Specification is 90Ah and 800 amp, dimensions 354 x 175 x 190mm is 019 and the short code is H3. So I have looked on Vartas web site and put the part number and it brings up a varta Blue Dynamic 595 402 080 near enough that same spec only the short code is G3. Any thoughts on this and if its a good idea to get the battery? I will leave the link bellow.

The silver dynamic is 100ah and 830A, bit worried it would over do it as the electricial system is very sensitive in these xk8s

The Silver Dynamic is recommended by Varta for the XK8!!!!!!!

the battery capacity is different than say a charging adapter output. the numbers for a battery represent its capacity under load for a period of time. note that voltage drops due to insufficient capacity can damage electrical components as things run hotter. install the highest reserve battery that you can. Bosch has a 1080A lead acid for a very good price.

I installed one of these AGM types back in September 2013 and it is still going strong.


They don't sell that exact one anymore but here is a

link to the newer model Only $155 when ordered online using their 20% off coupon.
