Thanks to all
Thanks for all the reply's
I thought it might be a mic
Obviously no Bluetooth back then, although it was invented in 1994 but of course makes sense because you could use the phone through the stereo in hands free mode
I don't have the phone, just the cradle
The controls are on the steering wheel and radio
I would like to get an original handset someday just for the nostalgia
funny how the mic looks like a happy face in GGG's pic
that's a wrap
thanks again

I have 2 Motorola phones (circa 2002??) in my attic from when I worked at the dealer. They were in the trash so I 'rescued' them. They are still in the boxes with the booklets (I Think).
I would have to go in my attic to look for them. I powered one up years ago and the original owners call info was still on it. I did not remember how to delete so I just put it back in the box.
Let me know if you are interested in the DINOSAUR phone. I would just need shipping info and payment to destination. No charge for the phone kit itself but I don't think it will work on the network these days. It might be CDMA??? or maybe TDMA???
There should be a charger and some wiring?? I don't know if I have a cubby cradle but I think I still have a few 'shallow' cubby inserts for the armrest console.
I'll look if you are interested.

P.S. I used to install those microphones 'back-in-the-day' when customers wanted dealer options.
