Hmmm, sounds to me like assistant Surgeon General Ali Khan must have an XK8 and lurk on this forum.

You are being paranoid, Sam, but at least now you know you're not alone.

I think I'm all ready for Saturday's big rapture. I bought a dozen life-size blow-up dolls and a big tank of helium. That oughta freak out the neighborhood!

You should save at least one of the blow-up dolls for the "after" rapture party.

It's been reported the proceedings will begin at 6:00 PM tomorrow. That's EDT, I assume.

This same whacko called the rapture back in the '90s sometime, but he then discovered a "math error" after things failed to pan out. I wonder what he'll be telling us this coming Sunday.

I'm going on a tour with the Atlanta Jaguar Society. We are going to a private car collection, a winery, lunch at the winery. Guess I spend my last day drinking and driving!!

Great group of folks but they think a XK8 is too modern a car.

Wrong group! You are thinking of the North Georgia Jaguar Club.

Damn... 6:00 PM Saturday came and went without a zombie apocalypse. Now what am I going to do with the 3000 rounds of .308 Winchester that I have stockpiled? I was looking forward to sniping the zombies from my roof.

How much more wiring would it take to raise the top? It's not a real big deal but I like the gagets.

Well, though it can be done, I figured that it is probably more wiring than most people want to get into.

That is why I decided to stop there and design a somewhat more sophisticated version using a bit more electronics all pre-assembled on a printed circuit board module. This will simplify installation, as well as give top up, top down, stop and reverse operation.

If you opt to get this when it is available, you can easily splice it into the wiring you have added already (plus you will need 2 more connections at the door controller). If you remind me, I'll give you a set of posi-lok splices instead of the posi-taps to make it easy to retrofit to the wiring you added already with minimal effort.

I'll also give you a significant discount for pioneering this !

Great, when do you think you'll have it ready? Hey! I think your instructions were great and straight forward. I spent about a half hour last night doing the connectors and adding the extra diods because of the relays. It took about 4 1/2 hrs. today from start to finish. It was so neat seeing it go up after clicking it for the first time, knowing I didn't screw up. Hey! Rev....it's almost 11pm no zombies yet, what time do they come out?

Good, I am glad the instructions were clear. I am going to make the module even more straightforward by using wires with the exact same color striping to match with the car. I am also adding some status LEDs so if there is a problem, it will be really easy to figure out what it is.

I know how you felt.... I had an ear to ear grin when I saw it work the first time.

As of today the new module is designed, and I am working as we speak on the CAD layout for the printed circuit. I hope to finish the CAD design in a week or so, then have a prototype board made, then assemble and test it. At that point I'll order a production run of boards. My best guess is mid-summer availability, but it is hard to pin point an exact date yet since this is my 2nd 'job'.

OK, Just keep me up to date when it's ready. BTW, it's a good thing you included the pin numbers for the connectores because my colors were completely different. Thanks again.
