Well designed, truly. Almost idiot proof.

I know I am biased , but after using this for a while now, I've got to say it adds to the pleasure of the car having the top down and waiting for you when you arrive at it's door.

And with the remote raise, you can raise the top automatically while you stow away the boot cover, making the whole process smoother and quicker.

I have actually tried typical wiring errors to see if I could blow it out, and I could not. (Well I didn't stick the wires in a 115V AC outlet )

For the other engineers out there it has:
-Reverse polarity protection.
-Clamping on all inputs to prevent latch-up due to loss of a ground reference or overvoltage
-Power filtering and bypassing
-Current limiting on all inputs and outputs
-Overvoltage protection
-Hi-rel electrolytic capacitor for filtering
-Temperature stable ceramic capacitors
-Transient voltage suppression
-Internal fuse if all else fails

For everyone else, suffice to say it just works!

You mean this does not come with a built in OOMP-A-LOOMP-A that jumps out of the boot and removes and installs the top cover???

Geez- what else am I going to have to do? Drive the car myself! Lol

Nice work here! Can't wait for the finished product!

Really good Dale. One lucky member of the forum had the installation of 'serial number 2' last Saturday (I have serial number 1). He and I took photos for the installation instructions which I am in the process of writing up this week while I am away on business travel.

I have an initial run of 25 units which are about 80% built. I am trying to get them done this weekend, and next week will start contacting folks in the order they have expressed their interest.

Units will go to those who 'signed up' before they go on sale to the public. Those who are still interested and have not contacted me should still do so, since I expect to be running these on a backlog for some time to come.

I apoliogize for the delay, as I am about 2-3 weeks behind where I had hoped to be by this date. I have nevertheless been making good progress given the scope of trying to lauch a new product into production and starting a small company to do it, all part time.

Check out my new website: www.thejagwrangler.com. There is now a detailed FAQ about the product plus pricing info.

You can put me down for, Sounds like a must have, just for the coolness factor. PM me if you need more info. Thanks for the great work you do for our P&J's.

I sure hope I'm on the "list" - this conversation has been going on for some time, and I'm pretty sure I at least expressed interest - even without knowing a price point. DaleD

No worries Dale and Turbo...everyone who expressed interest either in this thread or PM'ed me is on the list in the order that they originally expressed their interest.

White XKR, on the subject of other things folks are looking for!!!

In winter the side windows can freeze up, making it difficult to get into my cabrio.

Could the remote be used to start the car, heater and heated windows?

I would be happy with a changeover switch in the car so that the action that opened the hood in summer, started the car in winter.

No presure you understand

Thanks
