Default Electrical connector in boot (trunk)

In the centre of the top of the boot opening (ie under the middle of the high-level brake light) I have a small electrical connector attached to nothing, just dangling down an inch from the bundle of wires above.

Can anyone tell me what it is?

Also I have the driver's seat module sticking out in front of the seat- how is it meant to stow?

RH, Why do we have people with their heads in the trunk today??? See my post, as per your surprise, I had one also with a wire dangling in a different place.
What color was yours? I'll go look tomorrow, already got my feet up by the logs and a drink in hand, it's 5 o'clock here, so I'm legal.

This is a regular issue.

If your Seat Module is sticking out of the front of the seat, it's almost certainly because the fixing studs have been ripped out of the lid. Compare the Seat Module on the right (fixing studs ripped out) with the lid to the left of it (studs in place) in this pic:

The Seat Module is bolted to a bracket and the bracket then bolts to the seat base. This pic shows the bracket attached to the Seat Module after I'd replaced the damaged lid:

Good news is replacement lids are available at low cost from Jaguar Dealers.

Any response on the wires hanging from the top of the boot/trunk space?

Rear Parcel shelf woofer/speaker cables ? The factory speaker in mine is bi-amped and therefore has 2 voice coils, so 2 connectors, one for each. When I got the car, only one was connected and the other left hanging down.

Mine does not have a speaker in the Parcel Shelf so its time to search for one I guess. Has all the wires so assume I don't need to add any more amps or anything. Apparently (from what I can find) the Sub Woofer numbers are LJD4144BA.

Only Coupe Premium Audio installations have a Woofer in the Parcel Shelf. Standard Audio Installs will have a Cover in the Woofer Hole.

Be careful as there are two types of ICE: standard and premium. If you don't have a subwoofer on the rear parcel shelf you may have the standard system.

Premium system also has tweeters on the doors up by the mirrors and a separate power amp mounted above the cd changer in the boot/trunk. This drives, amongst other things, the subwoofer which has two connectors.

It's possible Jaguar use standard looms so the connectors may be there.

Mi car had all the power connectors in place that are used in the USA for the side marker lights just clipped to the chassis. I added bulbs to these so my orange reflectors now light up whenever the sidelights are on. I think it looks kewl but I'm sad that way

HTH,
Mike

Looks like I only have the standard system. All the connectors are there but not the useful bits. I will have a look and see what the options are.... sigh.
