Default Engine fault question

After almost one years of ownership, I had my first problem while driving my car. About 20 minutes into my trip, my dash warning lights lit up. I had my red “stop engine” light on with a Failsafe/ABS/Traction. I pulled off the road and after about 20 minutes and 12 restarts, the warnings went away. I drove the car home with the check engine light lit. The next morning I took the car to my local parts store and had them read the codes. I notice that the check engine light was off. I got P0121 and P1111. After doing some reading both here and Gus’ site, I cleaned and adjusted the TB plug. This was 2 weeks ago and the car is running great. I have limited my driving to short trips for fear of breaking down. My question, should I assume that all is good and start driving the car as my daily driver for the few weeks of OK weather left here in Chicago OR put the Jag away for the winter and see what happens next spring?

I haven't driven it in the last few days. I guess my questions is, is it likely that cleaning the TB plug could have been the problem or are there more problems to come. Like a old battery, once it starts going, you might charge it and drive it every day and it will stay charged, but you better get a new one soon.

You cleaned the contacts and cleared the P0121 code and I would say to drive it. Yes that fault may take place again until you replace the leads but it may be a year or two before it shows its face. Drive the car!

Think I will just buy the new leads and be done with it.
Thanks for input

I'm looking on line and seeing a price of about $15.00 for part # LNG3956AA. Is this price per lead or for all four leads?

If you look at the quantity of the LNG3956AA it states 4 required.
I guess they are still packaged 1 per pack. I have not done this repair in YEARS.

My advice is to do the wires one-at-a-time so they don't get inserted in the wrong slots. I also stagger the splices so there won't be one big bulge.
