Unhappy Flat battery

My XKR 2002 has been in storage for 6 months, while I was abroad. The battery is as flat as a pancake, and I can't get into the boot to re-charge it. Any ideas how to get power back to the battery so that the lock will operate? The doors are open, and the engine is accessible, but I can't see where it might be possible to charge. What an idiot! The boot was open, but after putting the cover in, I closed it, and there is insufficient power to work the lock. There is no mechanical lock to be found. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

See post #2 from Paul Pavlik in this thread:

The boot does have a mechanical lock which can be opened with the black headed key.

With lack of use, this keyway is often seized and you may have no option other that to use Paul's method for connecting power in the engine bay.

Wink Boot (Trunk) Problem

Well, mine hasn't got a key fitting. Anyway, the jump leads to the under bonnet terminals worked fine, the boot unlocked, and I was able to get at the battery and re-charge it, and it started first time.
Thanks very much for your help - I was getting quite frustrated.

Are you sure there isn't a slot between the X and K in the back?

I have a 98 XK8 right now that has no key hole for the trunk. You can see where it should be, but there is no hole, only metal blocking where it should be.

You are quite right! It is well disguised and I just didn't see it. Panic over, and many thanks to everyone.
